Hansen Women Disney Characters

This post was inspired by a conversation between Talmage and Kimball, then transformed into a blog post by Rachel and Talmage. What disney character does each women in the Hansen family remind us of?
Jana-Sleeping Beauty
Jana may appear "asleep" because of her quite nature but when you open her up, or just read her blog, she is very much alive. The long blonde hair and blue eyes don't hurt either.

Erin-Cinderella
She has blond hair and is a graceful dancer as well(you should see her in her hip hop class). She is a hard working mom by day scrubbing floors and pretty princess at the ball by night going out with her prince, Taylor.

Lisa-Nala
Like Nala she can whip her significant other if she wanted to ("Pinned ya again"). Nala has lighter fur/hair like Lisa. Finally, she rescued Simba (Spencer) from his grub eating, duty dodging rebellious ways and turned him into a King (or at least he thinks he is).

Lindsay
-Pocahontas/Meg
Pocahontas because of her free spirit and beautiful voice. She also is all into natural foods and remedies and I'm pretty sure Pocahontas was the same way.
Or Meg from hercules because of her chill attitude and she more resembles her physical build and mannerisms.

Brandi-Jasmine

Jasmine because she has the same big beautiful eyes, dark skin and perfect hair. Like Jasmine, Brandi also has an independent spirit about her. Finally, she married a street rat (sorry McKay).

Melanie-Ariel/Snow White
We had trouble deciding between these two. She's like the Little Mermaid because she is curious and wonders about others' world, through her love of reading. Not to mention, Lincoln looks like prince Eric.
She also reminded us of a Snow White because they have the same hair, mind you, Melanie's is a more modern verson of Snow Whites hair-do. Althoughshe doesn't have seven dwarves, she does have two critters small enough to be dwarves running around her house named Pico and Mila.

Rachelle-Belle/Giselle
I think Rachel is closest to Belle first of all because she has the brown hair in a ponytail look. She was raised in humble standards with a father who she believes in but everyone else thinks is a little crazy. Last but not least, she saw the prince in me under the beastly mask (Yes, I am a beast, McKay).

I think I am like Giselle because we both think life is a musical and I'm out of touch with reality sometimes.

Kimball's Future Wife-Princess Fiona/Mulan

Princess Fiona just looks exactly like someone Kimball would marry. Her ability to burp, eat roasted rats, and karate skills are all qualities I know he is looking for.

Or Mulan because he thinks that "oriental girls are hot". He says he already claimed Belle on the mission but Talmage would not give her up.

Bonus: Grandma Gibson (GG)-The Fairy Godmother

Can't you see it? What else can I say?

We were trying to find one for Mom Hansen but don't you notice that most Disney charaters don't have mothers. Weird. See the Disney Mother Conspiracy (http://www.gather.com/viewArticle.jsp?articleId=281474976911566)

  1. That was hilar! Did you really think of all those Talmage? (and Kimball?) That's funny about Erin scrubbing floors all day, Lisa whipping Spencer, and me being chill Meg (I never heard of Meg, will have to read more about her). I think DDD could also be that one lady from 101 dalmations (since she has so many dogs). Brandi's is good. And Rachel is totally Belle, just from her seeming to be singing all the time and dancing around being happy and positive, and being held prisoner by a beast.
And Kimball... I think he would take any female (or so HE says).
    Good post!

  2. I just edited and added a few things. Rachel was the creator of it all. And boy did she have fun doing it.

Nala is a Queen not a Princess. Heather's trying to demote you Lisa.

  6. Lisa is deeply offended and will not attend the dinner tomorrow night because of this.(and she says she'll whip you all of you). I for one am honored to be Simba, who can compare to Simba. Prince Phillip(Art) is kind of tough but he needed fairy magic to assist him. Prince Charming (taylor) He lets his daddy the king do all his work for him, including finding him a wife (or a job). Alladin (Mckay) also needed magic and can't do anything without his Monkey and is probably the most pencil-neck of the princes. Lincoln who is compared to Prince Eric or the strange pervert who shows up and Kisses a dead girl in the middle of the forest at the end of Snow White, anyway prince eric I'm pretty sure he's gay. The beast (talmage) may have been able to take me but when he turned back into a human he turned back into his spoiled brat self who I think is also gay. Had Belle hooked up with Gestan he may have been a worthy opponent because every last inch of him is covered in hair (like simba). If Kimball does marry a Fiona and he becomes Shrek, I might hang out with him, but Donkey would wear on me quick, although he's gruff and manly, like all the other princes he wears tights so he's also gay. So bottom line I'm (Simba)the only King the rest are just princes. Despite your attempts to belittle me.

  7. What about Lindsay's future lover, John Smith- he's a manly man. Or even better if she is Meg then her lover is Hercules, need I say more.

  8. Are you suggesting Lindsay has a lover?

  9. I'm not apart of your family, but I do know some of you. I really did enjoy this blog and all the comments. I get to run errands now with a smile. I think I learned a lot more about you, granted considering your large number that it isn't very much at all.

  10. Pocahantis and meg never married john smith and hercules. And meg wasn't even a princess. So yes you need to say more.

  11. Spencer, are you trying to say that I will never get married???
Thanks a LOT! (runs upstairs and slams door)

  12. No shreck is the strongest without magic. and simba is a wimp that eats bugs. so he may looks strong but he's all weak inside. Thats why he matched evenly with Scar

  13. spencer, your gay for analyzing this as far as you did.

  14. This was a fun post! I didn't get a chance to compliment you last night on your creative skills.

Not to take this away from Rachel...I think Susan is a great Giselle (since you asked)...

She has a funny innocence and naivete' about her. She is steadfast in holding strong to her belief(s). She is always jolly, motivating and inquizative. I can totally picture her singing "A Happy Working Song" during her chores. And most recently has even added red hair to her resume'.

If women look for their father's attributes in their husbands, maybe the same holds true the other way as well? And then it all makes perfect sense that Rachel is a bit of Giselle too!

  17. I just barely read it, so I'm a little late. But of all the comments, Lincoln makes the best point.

  18. I like Spencer's points about most of the Disney characters have magic to help them out. So I changed my mind Lisa, Go Nala!! I forgot that Nala gets to be the Queen. Even better! We don't watch much Disney at our house. I think Spencer must though!! :)
