Oooooo...Aaaaaah!!!

Breath deeply, no go back, farther... farther... ok, not that farther. I need help coming up with some ideas of things that would entertain a kid... like a twelve year old. So far, for our project we have to have two vehicles and they have to go over a cliff and crash on the bottom. We don't exactly know what we want to do before or after that. That is were you come in. I want something entertaining and intreging like rockets going off, music, or something that would make a sixth grader look wide eyed with pleasure!!! Any ideas?

(The technical side... fyi for those of you who were wonder why we are doing this for an engineering class; we are doing it so that we can learn about and create an inertial guidance system and a black box.)

Rube Goldberg

For the project in my engineering design we are making a Rube Goldberg. What is a Rube Goldberg? Don't fret, I will tell you all about it. A Rube Goldberg is a very complicated system designed to do a simple task. Here is an example of a Rube Goldberg made for a Honda Commercial that I like: Honda- Rube Goldberg. (Make sure to have your volume on.) I hope you enjoy it!

This is a cartoon done by Rube Goldberg himself. It is a device used to wash windows. Can't figure it out? The following will explain: Passing man (A) slips on banana peel (B) causing him to fall on rake (C). As handle of rake rises it throws horseshoe (D) onto rope (E) which sags, thereby tilting sprinkling can (F). Water (G) saturates mop (H). Pickle terrier (I) thinks it is raining, gets up to run into house and upsets sign (J) throwing it against non-tipping cigar ash receiver (K) which causes it to swing back and forth and swish the mop against window pane, wiping it clean. If man breaks his neck by fall move away before cop arrives.
Anyways, I am excited to do this project! It sounds so interesting and fun!

Cute as a Button

I asked my mom if she remembered this shirt of mine and pointed to this picture. She looked at it for a little while and then responded, "For some reason, I don't even remember that picture of you." I then told her that it was not me, this is a picture of my niece, Paysen. My mom and brothers agreed that she is a spitting image of me when I was little. I even have pictures of me putting my hands kinda like that and same facial expressions. Isn't she just the cutest little girl that you ever did see?!?! That is kinda haughty after what I said about her looking like me and all. OK, but really she is quite a cutie!!!

Honeymoon

Talmage and I went to Pinetop for our honeymoon. We went snow boarding. It was my first time. We both had a blast! We got to go to the Snowflake temple. Wow, that was beautiful. I really like pinetop it has such a cozy, small town feel. I got sick a couple of days into our honeymoon. I mean really sick; sicker than I have ever been in my life. For the most part, I have been sick since then... almost three weeks later. I feel like I am finally getting over it though. Finally... hopefully

Wedding Reception

More on reception to come...

Wedding Bells

Here are some of Talmage and Rachel's Wedding pictures. I like the one with the ring in the foreground.

We almost look sad in this picture.

Just Married

Talmage and Rachel were married in the Mesa Arizona Temple for time and all eternity on December 15, 2007.
The ceremony was so powerful and the Spirit was so strong.
