Summer

I have to rate this summer a 7. All in all it was not bad, not excellent, just good. Some of the highlights are:
  • Taking care of my kiddos and seeing them grow, play and enjoy all their cuteness.
  • Riding tandem with Tamage to prepare for the El Tour de Tucson.
  • Visit's to Globe. I'll admit it gets scary and involves a lot of trust.
  • Hanging with the family and seeming them progress, like Jacob getting ready to go on a mission, birthdays and Caleb graduating. I still can't believe that Jacob will be gone in about a week.
  • Getting to know people around here more.
  • Going swimming with the babies
  • Hot dates with my husband
  • Girls nights, especially staying up late hanging out with Amanda
  • Taking care of my garden and seeing it grow
  • Painting the office, stairway and part of the upstairs (still need to finish some of the upstairs). It was really fun spending time with Talmage, Jacob and Angel as we painted. Thanks for you help guy!
  • Getting hair cut with Talia. Seeing the nieces and nephews. Babysitting McKay and Brandi's sweet boys.
  • Getting my hair recut by Nikki.
  • Spending time with Talmage and the babies at Luke Airforce Base while Talmage was on tour. Oh and having Kimball visit us and tell us about his then new girlfriend, maybe soon to be wife, don't really know.
  • Hanging out with my friend, Diana and some of Talmage's friend's from Globe.
  • One of the best things about summer is not to have Talmage in school. Although he is working it is not near as bad as going to school because of all the homework that needs to be done and never seems like it gets caught up.
That's all for now.

Right now, Talmage is out at Luke Airforce Base now and will return Sunday, just in time for the Hansen family get together. Then we will be going to Globe where Talmage has been doing mapping, GIS stuff there. It seems like the past couple of weeks we have been switching from Queen Creek one week then to Globe another week.

Palmaholic

My name is Talmage and I am a palmaholic. I have been palm free for about five minutes. Five minutes too long. Just kidding this is not Talmage, no but really. Really he is addicted.

Signs of his addiction:
  • refers to his palm as part of our family
  • tells people all about how cool it is and even convinced two other people to get it.
  • refers to it as his "Precious" as he greedily runs his hands over it
  • longing looks at it before letting others take it.
  • get super excited, way to excited, when he find out that he can put new things on it like sound files, "if i can just get this [accessory to work] I will be happy forever," ..."wow".
  • of course, shows off new things he has in it like picture of the apostles.
  • organizes everything he does in his palm and then at the end of the day changes it so it says what he really did that day. He does this while in bed before he goes to sleep.
  • would be distraught if he lost it or it got broken.
Friends, Family and strange men with a mustaches Talmage, needs our help. Please be there for him, as you see that this is hard thing for him He is still in denial stage. A hug, a smile, and/or understanding will go a long way.

Hair Cut

Yes, I got a hair cut with Talia.
No, I didn't like it. The hair stylist, my friend Dawna, did a great job and did the cut that I told her I wanted but it ended up being to thick and puffy at the bottom. Which made my thick hair look like a triangle. A puffy triangle.
Yes, Talia's hair turn out fabulous though!
Yes, I regot my hair cut by Nikki, my sister in law.
Yes, I really like it now!

PS this picture looks a little scary.

Sweet Babies Laughing

Yesterday Heber was sitting in one of his play toys. I was sitting on the couch and I heard Heber, from the behind the couch, laughing hysterically. I thought it was funny but he stopped. Then it happened again and then again, so I peaked over the couch to see what was up. Hannah was laying on her belly in front of him looking at him and for some reason he thought she was the funniest thing ever. He was maker her laugh a little. It was adorable. I wish I bottled up that laugh.

Big Families

I have always wanted a good size, some may say big, family. At least six kids but have felt a bit discourage with twins. If two babies are hard, don't get me wrong they are totally cute and I love them to pieces, even still how much harder would six kids be. So I look to a real life model, Jana, who just happens to have six kids. She, in my and Talmage's opinion, is a perfect mom. Not in that makebelieve perfect way where all the kids hair is done perfectly and they sit with perfect poster and have the best table manners ever and the whole house is perfectly spotless and she is all perfect with the over the top smile that has a sparkling gleam, but a more natural caring, down to earth and not fake way. She must get it from her mom.
I have watched her kids a couple of times and really enjoy it, like I do all my neices and nephews. But I assume that they are much better with me for a short time and more difficult day in and day out.
So I was completely suprised today when Jana told me, after baby sitting Hannah and Heber for most of the day that she thinks twins are harder to manage then six. Suprise, but happy because it gave me hope that I might actually want a big family again. And I might remain sain that is if I live through twin babies, come on how bad can the terrible twos be.
PS Jana took picture of the babies while they were there. She is an amazing photographer. They're so adorable!

I have been working on the whole you click on a world and it brings you to that link thing a mabob for about half an hour. Here is the web address:

Two Peas in a Pod

.. or a laundry basket.

They look so guilty.
The Hebety
I have a lot of recent pictures of Heber so hear ya go.

Heber is a messy eater, way more messy than Hannah. I usually just have to whip her face with a rag and sometimes her hands. Heber thinks that eating is a full contact sport.

"Take a look at what I'm wearing, people. You think anybody wants a roundhouse kick to the face while I'm wearing these bad boys?"

This is him eating/fussing at grandmas house. Note the pictures of the grandkids on the wall. Can you name all three that are showing?

Day Off

So I am at home right now with just one baby. Talmage has Hannah for a couple of hours, he had Heber last time. I went to the store earlier today to pick up some odds and ends and it was so easy with one baby. So easy! And I wasn't stopped by fifty-eleven people that say, "oh, are they twins... how perfect a boy and a girl... got your family done in one shot... etc." By the way, I really don't really don't mind that. I secretly love people doteing over my babies.

Heber loves attention and loves to be held. He has been so content and smiles sitting on my lap or being held most of the day and I love not running around getting bottles, changing diapers... you know the drill.

Ah, he is so cute, cooing and cawing.
